Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services
Green Building Solution for New Fire-Rescue Station
Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services (S.A.V.E.S.) was established as a consolidation of the Brushtown, Centennial, Conewago and McSherrystown fire companies. The new 32,959 square foot central fire-rescue station includes a fire hall, social hall and ten apparatus bays to house service equipment.
The structure includes conventional steel with precast concrete panels and in-laid brick veneer. The precaster for the project was Conewago Precast of Hanover, PA.
Conewago Precast used the Versa-Brix®-S single use thin brick inlay system from Architectural Polymers. The Versa-Brix®-S sytem offers over 20 brick patterns and is both recyclable and environmentally-friendly for LEED® green building.
