Mercy Health - West, a 625,000 square foot facility, is a Catholic health care ministry serving Ohio and Kentucky. Mercy Health - West Hospital was developed to fulfill the need for full-service medical care on Cincinnati’s West Side. The hospital, designed by AECOM, was awarded a Citation/Unbuilt in Modern Healthcare Magazine’s annual design awards program.
AECOM designed a blue-to-green color palette that incorporated the colors found in the hills and valleys in the Cincinnati, also considering the region's glazed pottery heritage. The unique, custom mosaic exterior design features 11 different colors and is not only breath-taking but aesthetically unforgettable!
