Project Details

Jim Thorpe Memorial Bridge spans the Lehigh River, connecting Routes 903 and 209, and was constructed to improve access to the town of Jim Thorpe, PA, known as the "Switzerland of America." The 961-foot continuous steel plate girder structure is about 85 feet wide with parapets on the bridge, especially along the pedestrian walkway, that are aesthetically pleasing to the eye in one of the state's major tourist attractions.
