National Guard – Mead Training Center
Custom Formliner for National Guard
The new Atlas and Titan Readiness Centers at the Mead Training Site offer state-of-the-art training for the Nebraska National Guard. The Atlas and Titan names were derived from the missiles formerly produced in the area from World War II through the Cold War.
Located on 1,194 acres, the Mead Training Site provides classroom and physical training as well as more specialized mission training prior to deployment. With the combined readiness center and training site, the Nebraska National Guard will be able to deploy a more properly trained force in response to state and national emergencies.
Dedicated in July of 2013, the Mead Atlas Readiness Center, was designed by RDG. In the same month, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new Titan Readiness Center, designed by Davis Design.
The precaster for both projects, Enterprise Precast Concrete, Inc. of Omaha, NE, utilized Concrete Art fabricated by Architectural Polymers to create the customized pixilated design.
